Young people and violence prevention - youth policy recommendations
discusses and presents policy recommendations that can support the work of young people, public authorities and non-governmental organisations in violence prevention and in dealing with the consequences of violence.

Whilst these recommendations partially emerge from the experiences of young people as victims and perpetrators of multiple forms of violence, they emphasise the key role that young people can and do play as protagonists of violence prevention.

Based on a Europe-wide synthesis of experience, research and practice of the Council of Europe's youth sector, in particular its human rights education activities, this publication refuse simplistic divisions of young people into victims, perpetrators or bystanders.
