  Newly appointed UN Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography talks about safeguarding children’s rights

05.06.2014 Mrs Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, former Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, has recently been appointed to serve as UN Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography. After ending her mandate at the Council of Europe, Mrs de Boer-Buquicchio was elected President of the INGO Missing Children Europe. Her recent appointment as UN Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography began in May 2014, and she came to the Council of Europe to give an interview on her role and experience in safeguarding children’s rights.
