“Combating violence against children: from isolated actions to integrated strategies” International Conference in Kyiv, Ukraine, 24-25 May

18.04.2011 - Multistakeholder and multidisciplinary responses have proved to be the most effective and sustainable ways to prevent and combat all forms of violence against children. In the frame of the Ukrainian Chairmanship of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, the Council of Europe co-organised with the State Service for Youth and Sport of Ukraine and UNICEF Regional Office for CEE/CIS, an international conference "Combating violence against children: from isolated actions to integrated strategies".

The two days conference brought together 150 participants who exchanged good practices in implementing integrated national strategies to safeguard children’s rights and eliminate violence against children. The conference benefited from the insights of Ms Marta Santos Pais, UN Secretary-General's Special Representative on Violence against Children. The participants heard the welcoming address by Mr Andriy Klyuyev, First Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Conference registration is open by invitation only.
