For various reasons
millions of children worldwide
are unable to live with their biological families.
Different care systems are offered for these
children to ensure and improve their chances
of development. However, an inadequate care
environment can hinder this development and
leave children vulnerable and at risk of violations
of their fundamental rights.
Against this background, SOS Children‘s Villages, with the support of various partners including the Council of Europe, is organising the international conference "Quality in Alternative Care".
