Children in detention: experts speak out at seminar

 

24.02.12 The Children’s Rights Division in cooperation with CPT colleagues held an internal "mini-seminar" on “Children in detention” on Thursday 23 February in the Agora Building (Council of Europe).

Guest speakers were Professor Ursula Kilkelly (University College Cork) and Dr Silvia Casale (former CPT president and consultant) who are finalising a report on Children’s Rights in the context of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture. They were joined by a Council of Europe colleague Ms Ilina Taneva and Mr Cédric Foussard from the International Juvenile Justice Observatory.
