In-country training on procedural protective measures for witnesses

Kosovo, 26-27 October 2006

The in-country training on procedural protective measures for witnesses is aimed at addressing the training needs of all those who handle or deal with witness protection programmes and measures in Kosovo.

The training will mainly focus on:

  • witnesses protection at main trial;
  • stress reduction and optimisation of results;
  • balance between security and effectiveness in the protection strategy;
  • protective measures after completion of proceedings.

The event is organised by the Council of Europe in co-operation with the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo and will take place from 26 to 27 October in the Kosovo Judicial Institute in Pristina.
