Overall objective:
To co-operate with up to ten Council of Europe member states in their efforts to combat discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity, in line with CM/Rec (2010)5.

Specific objectives; to:

• To carry out needs assessment studies as regards LGBT human rights in each of the beneficiary member state of the LGBT Project;

• To subsequently develop a more detailed project proposal, including action on beneficiary country level. The overall project will include:

- Awareness-raising activities among policy-makers, law-enforcement bodies, judiciary, the general public etc

- Training of specific target groups

- Reviews of national legal frameworks

- Organization of meetings for exchanges of experiences between Project beneficiary countries
