Fabienne Keller says City of Strasbourg determined to break silence surrounding domestic violence

Strasbourg, 27.03.2007 - ''While women’s lot has certainly improved in some respects, there are fields where there is still cause for concern'', Strasbourg’s Mayor Fabienne Keller said at a debate on domestic violence during the Congress spring session.

''Violence against women affects every social, economic and cultural category and women of all ages'', she continued.

''This is why the City of Strasbourg is determined to work with its partners to encourage women to tell their stories, witnesses to speak up and friends and relations to take action and report situations that come to their notice'', Ms Keller concluded.
