“The Congress strongly condemns the violent attack perpetrated by the PKK which led to a large number of victims. No cause can be defended by terrorist acts. In fact, this attack undermines the basic foundations of our democratic society.”, Keith Whitmore declared the day after the attack on the military outposts in Hakkari in Turkey. “On behalf of the Congress, I want to express our most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Turkish authorities.”

''Le Congrès condamne avec force la violente attaque perpétrée par le PKK et qui a fait de nombreuses victimes. Aucune cause ne peut être défendue par des actes terroristes. Au contraire, cette attaque sape les fondements même de nos sociétés démocratiques,'' a déclaré Keith Whitmore au lendemain de l’attaque contre les installations militaires à Hâkkari, en Turquie. ''Au nom du Congrès, je tiens à exprimer nos sincères condoléances aux familles des victimes et aux autorités turques''.
