Staff Amicale Christmas party: Over 600 participants at the “Royal Palace” in Kirwiller

17.12.2010 - Once again this year, the Staff Amicale Christmas party was a great success. Over 660 people, children and grown-ups, attended the outing to the Royal Palace in Kirrwiller to enjoy “SHREKY’s fantastic world” and the snack served before the show.

Every year, a dynamic team gets together to organise this unusual party and puts a tremendous effort into ensuring that it is a success. Needless to say the Staff Amicale is most grateful to them for their work. Colleagues who are interested in helping organise the 2011 Christmas party are more than welcome and may, as of today, get in touch with the Staff Amicale at the following address amicale@coe.int.

The Staff Amicale’s direct contribution to this year’s event was €14,000. The aim is to provide free entrance for every child of all staff families. The parents, on the other hand, are charged €30 or €35 (depending on whether they are Amicale members or not). This amount helps balance the total cost of the party. As far as last week’s party is concerned, Staff Amicale is glad to announce that the €1,500 left over will be transferred to “Restos BB du Cœur”.
