Committee of Ministers consults international NGOs on their participatory status in the Council of Europe [24/06/2003]
International NGOs having consultative status with the Council of Europe will hold an extraordinary plenary conference on Wednesday 25 June to adopt two opinions for the Committee of Ministers on two preliminary draft resolutions, the first on participatory status of international non-governmental organisations with the Council of Europe and the second on the partnership between the Council of Europe and national non-governmental organisations. This is the first time in the history of the Council of Europe that the international NGOs have been formally consulted in the adoption of a Committee of Ministers’ resolution.

Les OING dotées du statut consultatif auprès du Conseil de l’Europe se réunissent en Conférence plénière extraordinaire, mercredi 25 juin, afin d’adopter des Avis pour le Comité des Ministres sur deux avant-projets de Résolutions, l’un sur le statut participatif des organisations internationales non-gouvernementales auprès du Conseil de l’Europe et l’autre sur le partenariat entre le Conseil de l’Europe et les organisations non gouvernementales nationales. C’est la première fois dans l’histoire du Conseil de l’Europe que les OING sont consultées formellement dans le processus d’adoption d’une Résolution du Comité des Ministres.
