Izmir Conference on future of European Court of Human Rights [27/04/2011]
The Turkish Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers organises a high-level conference on the future of the European Court of Human Rights in Izmir on 26 and 27 April. The Izmir Conference is the major step towards following up and maintaining the momentum of the process of reform of the supervisory machinery set up by the European Convention on Human Rights, process launched by the Interlaken Conference. The Izmir Declaration will be adopted at the end of the Conference. It will take stock of the progress made on the reform and lay down guidelines for pursuing the process.

Conférence d’Izmir sur l'avenir de la Cour européenne des droits de l'homme [27/04/2011]
La Présidence turque du Comité des Ministres organise les 26-27 avril, à Izmir, une Conférence à haut niveau sur l’avenir de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme. La Conférence d’Izmir est l’étape essentielle pour suivre et maintenir la dynamique du processus de réforme du mécanisme de contrôle de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme lancé par la Conférence d’Interlaken. La Déclaration d’Izmir sera adoptée à la fin de la Conférence. Elle fera le point sur l’état d’avancement de la réforme et établira les lignes directrices pour sa poursuite.
