PACE co-rapporteurs for the monitoring of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egidijus Vareikis and Sir Roger Gale, make a fact-finding visit to the country, to assess the implementation of its commitments and obligations as a Council of Europe member state.

Bogdan Klich, PACE rapporteur for the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, makes a fact-finding visit to prepare his report on the “Evaluation of the partnership for democracy in respect of the Parliament of Morocco”.

8 July, Strasbourg
Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland meets  Enver Hoxhaj, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo*.

8 and 9 July, Yerevan
 Armenia Project / Leadership programme for mayors. The workshop on “Effective communication”, co-organised by the Congress, helps mayors to be aware of the verbal and non-verbal messages they send to citizens, also trough their behaviours and decisions.

8-11 July, Ukraine
Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin, PACE co-rapporteur for the monitoring of Ukraine, makes a fact-finding visit to Kyiv and Odessa.

The European Court of Human Rights holds a Grand chamber hearing in the case of Delfi AS v. Estonia at 9.15 a.m.
The case concerns the liability of an Internet news portal for offensive comments that were posted by its readers.

9 July, United Kingdom
Training for the United Kingdom civil society group, Hate Crime Hub, to set up a national scheme in the framework of the No Hate Speech Movement.

9-11 July, Skopje
The PACE ad hoc Committee for the observation of the presidential election and early parliamentary elections in “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” carries out a post-electoral mission to the country.

10 July, Yerevan
 Armenia Project/Seminar “Councillors: everyday actors for democracy” for 30 Armenian municipal Councillors, co-organised by the Congress.

12-20 July, Sulejówek/Warsaw, Poland
 The 5th Summer Academy, Democracy at School, to help education professionals to introduce a human rights ethos across their schools. The event is organised by the Council of Europe in co-operation with the Polish Ministry of National Education, the Polish Centre for Education Development and the European Wergeland Centre.

17 and 18 July, Serbia
Andrea Rigoni, PACE rapporteur, makes a fact-finding visit for his report on “Democratic participation for migrant diaspora”.

20-23 July, Turkey
The PACE six-member delegation led by Meritxell Mateu Pi carries out a pre-electoral mission, ahead of the Presidential election on 10 August.

22 July
 European Action Day for Victims of Hate Crime organised by the No Hate Speech Movement to commemorate victims of hate crime, particularly the victims of the 22 July attacks in Oslo and Utoya (Norway).

28 and 29 July, Barcelona (Spain)
 PACE President Anne Brasseur addresses the opening of the 76th International session of the European Youth Parliament and participates in committee work.

28 and 29 July, Italy
Thierry Mariani, PACE rapporteur of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons, makes a fact-finding visit to the country in preparation of his report on “Chinese migration to Europe: challenges and opportunities”.
