Support to the High School of Justice Project: second Steering Committee

On 31 March 2017, the Project organised the second Steering Committee meeting. The objectives of the meeting were to review Project progress and approve the work plan for the following six months of implementation. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr Lasha Magharadze, the High School of Justice Director, and Ana Zec, the deputy Head of Council of Europe Office in Georgia. Both chairpersons highlighted the fruitful cooperation and solid partnership between the Project and the School.

Representatives of the School's Board, trainers and donors funding the Project contributed to the discussion on the Project's deliverables to date, noting in particular the quality of trainings supported by the Project for the School's staff and the judges-trainers. One of participants noted the training delivery innovations he learns during these trainings and the way he applies them in his job as a School's trainer.

The Steering Committee approved the Project's work plan for the next six moth and agreed to meet in September for follow-up and progress review.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia”. This Project is funded by voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Norway, Slovakia and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
