The Bureau to the Standing Committee to the Convention will gather in Strasbourg for its second annual meeting for 2019. The Bureau will review progress in the implementation of decisions taken at the 38th Standing Committee meeting and progress made by the different Convention’s groups of experts which have met throughout the year. Among others, the decision-making body of the Convention will deal with issues linked to invasive alien species, illegal killing of wild birds, the conservation of the lynx and the management of protected areas in the face of climate change. The Bureau will also assess the numerous case-files and complaints submitted by citizens and NGOs, which are currently pending before the Convention.
