Alfred Heer is a Swiss politician, member of the Swiss Parlament since 2007 and member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2011. He is the President of the Swiss Delegation at the Council of Europe.  He is the President of the Control commission of the Swiss Parlament observing the Swiss Government and the Federal Administration. Since 1996 he is also President and founder of the Swiss Tax Payer’s Association. He was member of the Parlament of the Canton of Zurich from 1995 to 2008 and President of the Parlamentarian Group of the Swiss Popular Party from 2004 to 2008.
