The Labs of the 2013 Forum

Discussions took place in labs which focused on achievement, issues and concerns around specific e-democracy phenomena as a starting point, leading to exchanges on broader issues. Labs featured prominent politicians as well as other discussants with backgrounds in academia, activism, and media. The results of the lab discussions were shared by rapporteurs with a view to enabling participants to get a better grasp of the full range of showcased initiatives.

During the Forum, one award was presented by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe: the "Democracy innovation award" was awarded to the "Women of Uganda Network" (WOUGNET) on the basis of a vote of the Forum participants,

The "Democracy innovation award of the Internet users" was not awarded.
