The European Language Portfolio (ELP) was developed over a number of years and was launched in 2001, along the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which it complements.

Many models have been accredited by the European Validation Committee between 2001 and 2011; a registration system was then offered until 2014. The numerous resources and templates available on this website now enable the autonomous development of ELP models.

This section offers

  • a general presentation of the ELP

  • the story of the ELP and an impact study

  • reports on the project and from seminars
