Plenary Session of the Venice Commission

The Venice Commission will hold its 106th Plenary Session. Opinions expected to be adopted analyse issues such as the controversial amendments to the law on the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland; amendments to the French Constitution on the state of emergency and on the deprivation of nationality; amendments to the law on the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation that concern ECtHR judgments that can be declared inapplicable by the Constitutional Court; and provisions of the Penal Code of Turkey, including articles on hate speech, on insults to the President, on insults to the Turkish nation and some state bodies, on membership in an armed organisation; draft constitutional amendments on the judiciary of Albania.

All Venice Commission opinions will be made public following their adoption.
