Members of the Advisory Committee met with State authorities and minority representatives in Tirana to discuss the current situation of national minorities in Albania and present the Thematic Commentary on the scope of application of the Framework Convention, which has a direct impact on the ongoing political debates in the country. The roundtable discussion was attended by representatives of national minorities and governmental officials and allowed to take stock of the progress with the elaboration of the Law on National Minorities, which is currently undergoing wide consultations in the country.
