The Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities (ACFC) is organising a conference to address the issue of ‘Minority Rights in Divided Societies’. The event will take place within the framework of the Bosnia & Herzegovina Chairmanship of the Council of Europe on 15 October 2015 in Sarajevo.

Representatives of International Organisations, civil society actors, and high level academics will take stock of the situation of persons belonging to national minorities in the Western Balkans today. Three panel discussions are scheduled to assess the remaining sources of division and to explore concrete proposals to overcome them in view of promoting diverse and integrated societies.
