16-17 April 2015 - the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine within the Joint Programme between the European Union and the Council of Europe “Strengthening information society in Ukraine” organised with the collaboration of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner on Human Rights and the local NGO “Centre for political studies and analysis” the training activity for city mayors and public officials on access to public information to ensure that the representatives of local authorities are aware of their responsibilities and appropriately trained to respond to requests for information in efficient manner. This capacity building event is an excellent opportunity to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner on Human Rights to guide public officials in the implementation of the information legislation in Ukraine promoting the culture of transparency and openness.
