The Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine”, implemented under the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2015-2017, organized two trainings for the staff of the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights on 30 March – 1 April 2016. Over 25 central office representatives and 24 regional representatives were brought together and successfully participated in the trainings focused on monitoring the rights of internally displaced persons in Ukraine in line with the Council of Europe standards. The participants evaluated the trainings very positively as being effective and having an impact on the future motoring activities of the Ombudsperson’s Office, and in particular those of the Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights of IDPs.
