A two-day training on

In close cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine” organized the training "Business integration of Internally Displaced Persons in Dnipropetrovsk region". The training took place over two days on 26-27 August 2016 in Dnipro.

Organized to support community-based IDPs integration initiatives, the training contributed to promoting further IDPs economic participation in their new communities. This was achieved by informing local IDPs about  the various possibilities of integration into the regional business environment and by expanding their knowledge and skills in this field.

In particular, Jaroslav Fedoryshyn, a leading national expert on business development shared his knowledge with the participants and delivered a detailed presentation on “How to develop and make any start-up profitable”. His presentation was followed by Svitlana Berezhna, a national trainer on business innovations who presented on “Successful construction of sales system in the B2B sector: how to reduce the dependence of the human factor”. The training was moderated by Nikolay Shevchenko, a successful local businessman and trainer.

The two-day training engaged all participants in a collective thinking process and practical modelling of business cases during which participants had to simulate different situations on developing a successful start-up, fundraising and  bringing it to life. All of the participants  completed the tasks successfully and reflected that the training as well as the newly established contacts will help local IDPs integrate more easily into the local business community.
