What do you do?
I work in the Directorate of Internal Oversight, in the Internal Audit Division. I'm responsible for the elaboration and implementation of Internal Audit plan and for the management of a team of 4-5 auditors.
What is your background?
I have a Masters degree in Economics and Finances obtained in both Russian and French Universities. I also have some professional qualifications, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner and the Accreditation in Quality Assessment / Validation.
Prior to the Council of Europe, I worked in accounting, financial and project management structures of private companies in Russia.
What do you like about your job?
What I like about my current work is that it is never a routine. Each audit covers a different subject, entity or function of the Organisation. We conduct financial, compliance, operational and IT audits. Thanks to that, we have a good overview of the organisational activities. In addition, audits aim at improving the Organisation's operations and at helping the Organisation to become more efficient and effective.
What do you like about working at the Council of Europe?
What I like about the Council of Europe is that it is a multi-national Organisation, where colleagues come from 47 countries. It is a unique place where employees need to be open-minded, diplomatic and cosmopolitan.
The geographical location of the Council of Europe contributes to that. In fact, Strasbourg is located in the proximity to other countries, where you can discover other cultures and practice other languages.
If you are attracted by working on a multi-national level and want to contribute to the noble mission of the Organisation, come to work with the Council of Europe.
