Back Final seminar : "Reinforcing the fight against violence against women and domestic violence in Kosovo*"

Final seminar :

On 29 June 2017, the Council of Europe will organise a seminar in Pristina, in the premises of Hotel Swiss Diamond (Pristina), to mark the closing of the project Reinforcing the fight against violence against women and domestic violence in Kosovo* (January – July 2017).

The project is implemented by the Violence Against Women Division of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Council of Europe Office in Pristina.

Its aims are two-fold: raising awareness of the standards offered by the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention) and the mapping of existing specialist services for victims of all forms of violence against women in order to identify existing gaps in quantity and quality.

This seminar aims at presenting the results of the mapping study to local stakeholders and decision-makers. It will also serve as a further opportunity to raise awareness of the relevant standards of the Istanbul Convention and also discuss a related topic for the support to victims: the programmes aimed at perpetrators of violence against women and domestic violence.

Agenda of the seminar

Report on Mapping support services for victims of violence against women in Kosovo* (in Albanian; in Serbian)
