In March 2016, Braga and Viseu became the most recent members of the Portuguese Intercultural Cities Network (RPCI). Both municipalities are highly commited to the intercultural agenda put forward by the ICC Programme, and to the action plan devised by the RPCI for this year.

Whereas Braga is currently promoting a series of projects and initiatives (e.g. Communities Day, Interknowledge Museum and Cultural Concert), Viseu is now developing the Viseu+ Intercultural project aimed at promoting interculturality, and facilitating the relationship between the Roma community and public institutions.

The Portuguese network of Intercultural Cities (RPCI) was set up in 2012 and now includes ten municipalities from different regions of Portugal.
