The overall objective of these visits will be to test a new methodology within ICC, the Asset-Based Community Development. The ABCD approach assumes that strong communities are built by recognising, celebrating and harnessing the ‘Community Assets’ that are already there and that can come from very different and sometimes underestimated sources like refugees.

As a starting point for the process, each visit will be the occasion for listening to the community and finding a special kind of local people who know, and are known by, many of their neighbours - the "Community connectors".

Practical training on how to map community assets will also be delivered.

Finally the visits will be the occasion for the ICC team to visit the neighbours which will be part of the pilot project and learn more about what is going on on the ground.
