In May 2017, the EYF team is visiting three activities. The EYF will use this opportunity to interview organisers and participants to establish a closer connection with NGOs and talk to young people about their needs.
The first visit will take place on 15-17 May in Serbia and the second on 16-17 May 2017 in Georgia.
In Serbia, the regional network “Youth Organisations for Drug Action” (YODA) is organising an international activity aiming at “improving protection of rights and social inclusion of the European youth”. 29 people from 7 different countries will come together to increase the skills and knowledge of the young people affected by drug problems about their rights, to improve the system of drug policy affecting youth in Europe and to share with other European organisations the experience on the protection of youth’s rights regarding drugs and drugs policy.
In Georgia, the “Youth association DRONI” is organising a training for 30 trainers on No Hate Speech (“Turn hate off”).
At the end of May, the EYF will travel to Gleencree, Ireland, to attend the “Youth Ambassadors Training Course” organised by the National Youth Council of Ireland (#solidactivist). This pilot activity has been designed to upskill a group of 20 youth activists in order to develop a skilled team for the No Hate Speech Movement in Ireland.
