Are you registered as an international youth NGO/network in the EYF online system and do you plan to apply for a grant for a 2018 annual work plan or international activity, or a 2018-2019 structural grant at the 1 October 2017 deadline? If so, this information is for you. If you haven’t already expressed your interest (an e-mail was sent out to all NGOs registered with the EYF), you have until 15 July to apply to participate in one of the EYF information sessions that will take place in Brussels on 7 and 8 September 2017.
These sessions aim to help youth NGOs understand better the EYF application, assessment and reporting process.
Session 1 is for “beginners”, i.e. for representatives of international NGOs and networks which have applied and been rejected or have never applied, as well as for newly appointed persons in charge of grant applications in NGOs and networks which have already been supported but who did not benefit from a transfer of knowledge from colleagues. This session will mainly concentrate on work plan and structural grant applications, including reporting processes. It will take place on Thursday 7 September, 14:30-17:30, and will be followed by bilateral meetings (17:30-18:30).
Session 2 is for “advanced”, i.e. representatives of international NGOs and networks which have been supported at least twice. This session will concentrate on work plan and structural grant applications and reports. It will take place on Friday 8 September, 09:30-12:30, and will be followed by bilateral meetings from 12:30 to 13:30.
If you are interested in participating in one of the above sessions (you can register for only one session), please send an e-mail to email@example.com by 15 July 2017, stating your name, function/position, e-mail and whether you want to participate in session 1 or session 2. If you are also interested in having a bilateral meeting with the EYF, please inform us when you apply stating the reasons and the topic you want to discuss, notably for rejected applications.
International NGOs or networks based in Brussels are allowed to send a maximum of two representatives.
International NGOs or networks not based in Brussels can apply for reimbursement of the costs linked to the participation of one representative in one session.
The EYF can cover the expenses for one representative of international NGOs and networks not based in Brussels. The first 10 requests received will be considered for reimbursement and the NGO or network will be informed about the final decision.
In order to prepare for the sessions, we would appreciate receiving in advance any specific questions you may have.
