Administrative History
At its 983rd session in December 2006, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe decided to redeploy the resources previously allocated to the library and outsource the library services. As a result of this, the Central Library's collection was moved to the Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg. Items that specifically focused on the work of the Council of Europe were selected and used to create a new archival collection on the Council of Europe.

CONTENT

The collection includes publications, articles, chapters of larger works, as well as doctoral theses, published by independent sources external to the Council of Europe. The material selected presents, documents, discusses, and assesses the Council of Europe's activities since its creation. It covers all of the Organisation's fields of activity.
