Austria

Declarations handed over to the Secretary General at the time of deposit of the instrument of ratification on 3 September 1958 - Or. Fr.

The Federal Government of the Republic of Austria recognises, for a period of three years, the competence of the European Commission of Human Rights to receive petitions submitted to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe by any person, non governmental organisation or group of individuals claiming to be the victim of a violation by one of the High Contracting Parties of the rights set forth in the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

The Federal Government of the Republic of Austria recognises, for a period of three years, as compulsory ipso facto and without special agreement, vis-à-vis all other High Contracting Parties to the above-mentioned Convention having likewise make a declaration in accordance with Article 46 of the said Convention [see Article 34 of the Convention since the entry into force of Protocol No. 11], the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights in all matters concerning the interpretation and application of the said Convention.
