Declaration from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, dated 28 June 1960, registered at the Secretariat General on 5 July 1960 - Or. Fr.

In accordance with Article 25 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms signed in Rome on 4 November 1950, the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands recognises for the Kingdom in Europe, as from this date and for the period ending on 31 August 1964, the competence of the European Commission of Human Rights to receive petitions addressed to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe from any person, non-governmental organisation or group of individuals claiming to be the victim of a violation by one of the High Contracting Parties of the rights set forth in the said Convention.

Declaration from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, dated 26 August 1954, deposited with the instrument of ratification on 31 August 1954 - Or. Fr.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands recognises as compulsory ipso facto and without special agreement vis-à-vis any other Contracting Party to the under-mentioned Convention having accepted the same obligation, therefore on condition of reciprocity, the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights in accordance with Article 46 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental freedoms signed in Rome on 4 November 1950 [see Article 34 of the Convention since the entry into force of Protocol No. 11], for a period of five years as from the date of deposit of the Netherlands' instrument of ratification of the said Convention, in all matters concerning the interpretation and application of the Convention.
