[23/04/09 12:00] The Commissioner published today an exchange of letters with Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Kosovo on the situation of the Roma, Askhali and Egyptian families who are living in the lead-contaminated camps of Cesmin Lug and Osterode in north Mitrovica.Offering his support to UNMIK, the Commissioner stresses the urgency of ensuring a viable solution for the people who are still living in the contaminated camps. The Commissioner's letter was sent to UNMIK after his visit to Kosovo carried out in March and is published together with the response of Ambassador Zannier.
