Europe’s challenge to ensure a rights perspective for children in migration

The Special Representative of the Secretary General on Migration and Refugees, Tomáš Boček, will deliver a keynote speech at a high-level meeting on the rights of the child migrants in Europe. Sweden’s Minister for Children, the Elderly and Gender Equality will participate along with European Child rights experts, government agencies and child rights organisations. The meeting is hosted by the Swedish Ombudsman for Children, the Children´s Welfare Foundation in Sweden and the Swedish Parliament.

Two panel discussions will be held, one on Child Rights challenges in migration in Europe and one on Child Rights in the new Common European Asylum System, and further an interactive session on Child Rights challenges regarding migration and integration in Europe.
