The 2nd National Child Wellbeing Conference, organised by the Maltese President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society in collaboration with the University of Malta, focuses on access to justice for vulnerable children. The conference was opened by Her Excellency Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of Malta. Regina Jensdottir, the Head of Children Rights Division of the Council of Europe delivered a keynote speech focusing on the Council of Europe’s standards and tools related to justice for children in alternative care. Other sessions focused on child-friendly justice, asylum-seeking children and violence against children.
