Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia
Adult Training Methodology

On 5-7 May and 12-14 May 2017, twenty two trainers of the High School of Justice of Georgia completed the training on Adult Training Methodology. The objective of the training was to build the capacity of the pool of trainers of the High School of Justice to design and delivery judicial training. As a result of the three day training, participants learned about the principles of adult learning; acquired knowledge about the impact of different social factors on adult learning; learned how to apply different methods and steer their impact on learning, how to formulate learning objectives and design the optimum media for their trainings and lessons plans, how to encourage learning and to prepare themselves for trainings.

In the words of one of participants “The format and the sequence of the training was designed perfectly, as it taught us how to start the training, engage with our trainees, develop the training modules and eventually how to evaluate it with the trainee’s involvement”.

These trainings are part of the Project’s component on strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice to deliver needs-based and relevant judicial trainings. The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia”. This Project is funded by voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Norway, Slovakia and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
