The stakeholders of mediation in İzmir led by the pilot working group including civil judges, court staff and mediators from İzmir Mediators Association organised a seminar on 5 May 2017 reagrding mediation in civil disputes. The seminar took place in İzmir Courthouse, which is selected as a pilot by the Project on “Developing Mediation Practices in Turkey” implemented by the Council of Europe. The seminar focused mainly on the basic principles of mediation and implementation of mediation in civil disputes. The efforts and activities carried out by the pilot working group İzmir have contributed to awareness-raising about mediation and created a platform to exchange ideas and experiences in the field of mediation in civil disputes.
