The book titled “Individual Application Judgments related to Criminal Judiciary” was published under the EU- CoE Joint Project “Supporting the Individual Application to the Constitutional Court in Turkey”.
The book which was published in order to contribute to better comprehension of the Constitutional Court’s approach in individual applications concerning criminal judiciary consists of selected individual judgments related to criminal judiciary. The judgments were selected according to their significance in improving case law concerning criminal judiciary. In order to follow the improvement process of the case law, judgments were given in chronological order in cases where there is more than one judgment about the same right.
It’s a well-known fact that significant rate of the individual applications is related to rights concerning criminal judiciary. This book is about individual application judgments related to criminal judiciary and consists of two chapters. The first chapter covers judgments on protection provided by the right to a fair trial while the second chapter includes judgments related to other rights.
“Contents” part of the book includes summary and key concepts of each judgment for easy reading. The book also has an “index of concepts” so that the reader can see where each topic is evaluated under which judgments.
The book which was published in 3000 copies was distributed to the participants of the Case Law Forum on “Individual Application Judgments related to Criminal Judiciary” that was organized under the Joint Project of Supporting Individual Application to the Constitutional Court in Turkey on 2-3 March, 2017.
