TP2CE COUNCIL OF EUROPE RADIO AMATEUR CLUB
The aim of the Radio Amateur Club is to raise the profile of the Council of Europe through radio amateurism. It's an independent communication effort, carried out on a voluntary basis by members of CERAC, an organisation supported by the Council of Europe.
Since its inception, the activities of the CERAC have been:
· the organising of regular radio contact activities (3 or 4 each year) lasting 30 hours (over a weekend) and resulting in an average 3000 contacts across the 5 continents. These broadcasts are usually linked to important events at the Council of Europe (entries of new member countries, anniversaries of major events in the history of Council of Europe etc).
· Taking part in various competitions and international championships
Everyone who makes radio contact with the CERAC is sent a "QSL" confirmation card containing useful information on the Council of Europe.
