Co-operation with the Organisation of American States (OAS)

International Conference on “Cybercrime: A Global Challenge, A Global Response”

12-13 December 2005, Casa de América, Madrid, Spain

The Conference was a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the Government of Spain (Ministry of Justice) in co-operation with the Organization of American States (OAS).

It aimed at enabling countries to become more familiar with the process of accession to the Convention on cybercrime (ETS 185), as well as with the necessary legal and technical capabilities which need to be set up or developed to implement the provisions of the Convention.

All member States of the Council of Europe and the Organization of American States were invited as well as parliamentarians and representatives of the private sector (more…).

The Conference was held at the Casa de América, a historical landmark of the Spanish Capital.
