Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis paid an official visit to Luxembourg on 25 November 2004.
Discussions concentrated on the campaign against terrorism, the programme of Luxembourg 's forthcoming Presidency of the European Union and the preparations for the Summit of Council of Europe Heads of State and Government, to be held in Warsaw in May 2005.
The Secretary General met Vice-Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Immigration Jean Asselborn, Justice and Finance Minister Luc Frieden and President of the Deputies' Chamber Lucien Weiler.
He also had an exchange of views with members of the Luxembourg delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly and of the Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Co-operation and Immigration. In the afternoon, Mr Davis visited the European Institute for Cultural Routes.
