· Till 1992, worked in the State and Municipality administrations
· From 1992 to 1996, he worked as the Defense Secretary of Ilidza Municipality and Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Municipality of llidza
· From 1996 to 1998 held the post of the Minister for Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo
· Councilor of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo
· President of the Council of Canton Sarajevo
· From 30 march 2001, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT:
Since its establishment, Mr. Belkic has been the member of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
