Slovenia and the Council of Europe Accession Slovenia became the 29th member State of the Council of Europe on 14 May 1993.

Slovenia is represented in the Congress by a delegation of 3 representatives and 3 substitutes.

Budget
The Council of Europe's ordinary budget for 2009 is € 205 002 000. The contribution of Slovenia is € 460 844.50 (i.e. 0.2248 %).

Ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights on 28 June 1994.
