Poland became the 25th member State of the Council of Europe on 26 November 1991.

Parliamentary Assembly
Poland is represented in the Parliamentary Assembly by a delegation of 12 representatives and 12 substitutes, including:

Congress of Local and Regional Authorities
Poland is represented in the Congress by a delegation of 12 representatives and 12 substitutes, including:

Budget
The Council of Europe's ordinary budget for 2009 is € 205 002 000. The contribution of Poland is € 4 784 746.68 (i.e. 2.3340 %).
Human Rights
Ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights on 19 January 1993.
- Judge to the European Court of Human Rights: Lech GARLICKI.
- Applications allocated to a decision body (*) in 2008 : 4369
- Judgments in 2008: 141 of which 129 violations and 9 non-violations
