FERYP celebrates the 10th anniversary of the RAXI campaign

This year is the 10th anniversary of the European Youth Campaign against Racism, Antisemitism, Xenophobia and Intolerance. On this occasion of the Forum of European Roma Young People (FERYP) is organising in co-operation with the Council of Europe and ARPOMT a study session “ Roma Youth – Situation and Perspectives – 10 years after the RAXI campaign”.

The event will take place from the 6th to 11 June 2005 in the European Youth Center.

OFFICIAL OPENING of the meeting by the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe – Ms. Maud de Boer Buquicchio, 6th June 2005, 9h30 at the European Youth Center (link to the speech pronouced by Mrs. De Boer).

DEMONSTRATION (Street event) on the Challenges and Concerns of the Roma Youth, which will take place on the 9th of June 2005 and will start at 15h00 from the European Youth Center (30, rue Pierre de Coubertin) to the Cathedral and then to Parc de l “Orangerie.


CONCERT on the 9th June 2005 at 18h00, in Parc de l”Orangerie (next to Palais Josephine). The programme includes Performances from different countries, Exhibition, Kites workshop for children, etc.

ROUND TABLE with policy makers to present the outcomes of the activity and recommendations on Roma Youth Participation. Football match between local Roma Youth club and the participants in the session and Barbecue will follow it.
