Adjournment of a Hearing of the Administrative Tribunal

27.06.2017 - The public hearing in appeals Nos. 571-578/2017 - James BRANNAN and others v. Secretary General scheduled on 29 June 2017 has been adjourned for reasons of “force majeure”. The new date will be indicated later.

The hearing in appeals Nos. 579-580/2017 - Zeki UYSAL and Sibel DEMİR SALDIRIM v. Secretary General will be held before the Administrative Tribunal on 29 June 2017 at 10.15 am in the Tribunal’s hearing room in D building and will be chaired by Mr Christos ROZAKIS, Chair of the Tribunal.


Hearings of the Administrative Tribunal

22.06.2017 - Two hearings will be held before the Administrative Tribunal on Thursday 29 June 2017 in the Tribunal’s hearing room in the D building in appeals below:

- 9.30 am.: Nos. 571-578/2017 - James BRANNAN and others v. Secretary General
- 10.30-11 am. (following the previous hearing): Nos. 579-580/2017 - Zeki UYSAL and Sibel DEMİR SALDIRIM v. Secretary General.

Both hearings will be chaired by Mr Christos ROZAKIS, Chair of the Tribunal.


Proceedings of the international colloquy "Common focus and autonomy of International Administrative Tribunals" (Strasbourg, 19-20 March 2015)

06.04.2017 - On 19-20 March 2015 the Administrative Tribunal of the Council of Europe held a colloquy to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The tribunal wished to mark this anniversary by bringing together many members from other similar tribunals and practitioners in this field of law, in order to hold an exchange on the current situation in international administrative justice. Indeed, during the last 50 years the world of such tribunals has not only expanded, but also changed significantly.

13.03.2017 - Symposium in honour of the Administrative Tribunal of the International Labour Organization
(5 May 2017, Geneva)


On 5 May 2017, the Administrative Tribunal of the International Labour Organization held a symposium to mark the occasion of its 90th anniversary and its 125th session to be organized in 2017. The symposium entitled “90 years of contribution to the creation of international civil service law” took place at the headquarters of the International Labour Office in Geneva.

Following the opening ceremony, there were three panel discussions dealing, respectively, with the various facets of the law applied by international administrative tribunals, the general principles of law that guide them and some milestones in the development of the Tribunal's case law.
